Works of Wonder

WOWFX Studios is a premier production house renowned for delivering top-quality digital media works. Established in 2019, the company was acquired in September 2024 by industry veterans Sky Li (Chief Executive Officer) and Jay Hong (Chief of Visual Effects), following their departure from Vividthree Holdings Ltd - a listed immersive digital content production house they co-founded.

Following this strategic transition, the majority of Vividthree’s core creative team joined WOWFX, bringing with them a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction. This continuity has enabled WOWFX to hit the ground running while maintaining a consistently high standard of delivery. The leadership team is further strengthened by Wilson Yip (Chief Creative Officer), an award-winning Film and Creative Director with over two decades of experience.

The WOWFX team brings a wealth of experience across a diverse portfolio of creative projects, both locally and internationally. As pioneers in Singapore’s VFX industry, they have contributed their expertise to major feature films such as Jack Neo’s Ah Boys to Men and Long, Long Time Ago series, Money No Enough 3, I Not Stupid 3, as well as Kelvin Tong’s The Faith of Anna Waters, It’s a Great, Great World, and Kidnapper. Their international credits include Battle of the Damned (USA), Turn Around (Taiwan), and Magik Rompak (Malaysia), produced in collaboration with Clover Films and Act2, and slated for release in September 2025.

Beyond film, WOWFX has delivered high-impact, large-scale 3D anamorphic visuals, projection mapping, and multimedia experiences for marquee clients and events, including Disney+, Disney Cruise Line, KL Pavilion (Chinese New Year Golden Bull), Jay Chou Carnival World Tour 2024, Chingay 2024 (Singapore’s longest-ever floor projection), and the newly launched Singapore Oceanarium.

The studio’s portfolio spans feature films, commercials, branding campaigns, corporate films, and immersive experiences, supported by full-service production capabilities — from conceptualisation and creative development to production and final delivery. Currently, the team is developing a suite of immersive content for the iconic Merdeka 118 tower in Kuala Lumpur.

In response to the rapid evolution of content creation, WOWFX has actively integrated AI-driven workflows into its production pipeline. By leveraging AI as both a creative and technical tool, the team is able to accelerate production timelines, enhance visual development, and optimise cost efficiency — particularly in reducing reliance on physical props, complex or high-risk shoots, and large-scale overseas productions. This enables faster turnaround while maintaining high production value and creative quality.

Recent projects incorporating AI include Jack Neo’s AI-拼才会赢 (I Want to Be Boss), Boi Kwong’s 3 Good Guys Movie | 老婆,我爱你, and OSIM’s uDivine V3 Full Body Massage Chair campaign — demonstrating how AI can be effectively deployed across film, commercial, and branded content.
