MEDIACORP TUESDAY REPORT: STREET OF MEMORY S2
Client: Mediacorp Chinese Current Affairs
Commissioned by: Our Artists' work at Vividthree
Tuesday Report: Streets of Memory S2 takes viewers on a captivating journey through three iconic Singapore neighbourhoods, Chinatown, Changi, and Geylang, exploring how these historic streets have transformed over time. Through heartfelt stories from long-time residents, the series highlights the memories, cultural evolution, and enduring spirit that define each district.
Our team contributed to the full program package, incorporating 3D motion design and VFX to create a visually engaging opening sequence and on-screen graphics. The motion design emphasizes the character of each neighbourhood, blending stylized 3D environments with dynamic camera movements to immerse viewers in the streets’ unique atmospheres. Subtle VFX were used to enhance transitions, integrate archival images, and bring maps, icons, and key storytelling elements to life in a seamless and visually compelling way.
The design approach ensured that every element, from animated sequences to graphics, complemented the narrative while maintaining clarity and visual appeal. The project’s creativity and execution were recognized internationally, earning a Gold Award for Art Direction and Design: News Program Open/Titles at the PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards 2018, underscoring the series’ high production quality and innovative design.
Through thoughtful 3D motion design, VFX, and cohesive program packaging, Streets of Memory S2 captures the essence of Singapore’s historic neighbourhoods, delivering an immersive and award winning visual experience for viewers.
