MEDIACORP TUESDAY REPORTS: WHERE THE HOME IS 广厦千万间
Client: Mediacorp Chinese Current Affairs
Commissioned by: Our Artists' work at Vividthree
Tuesday Report returns with a compelling new series, Where Our Home Is, exploring five iconic HDB towns in Singapore: Queenstown, Toa Payoh, Jurong, Ang Mo Kio, and Bedok. From their early days as swamps and kampongs to the vibrant, liveable townships they are today, the series traces the remarkable evolution of these communities. Through heartfelt stories from everyday heartlanders, the program celebrates the people, memories, and sense of belonging that make these towns feel like home.
Our team contributed to the full program package, incorporating 3D motion design and VFX to create a visually engaging opening sequence and on-screen graphics. The motion design highlights key landmarks and community features of each township, blending historical context with modern visuals to convey the depth and richness of Singaporean life. Subtle VFX were used to enhance transitions, integrate archival material, and bring maps, data, and icons to life in a way that is both informative and visually appealing.
The thoughtful combination of storytelling, motion graphics, and design elevated the program’s identity and viewer engagement. The work was recognized at the PromaxBDA Asia Awards 2016, winning Gold for Art Direction and Design: News Program Open/Titles, underscoring the high production value and creative excellence of the series.
Through innovative 3D motion design and VFX, the program captures the spirit of Singapore’s heartlands and brings the stories of these iconic towns vividly to life.
